Our Managing Partner’s Background

With a firm belief that customer satisfaction should be the cornerstone of the company’s business philosophy, Patrick M. Mixon founded The Infrastructure Company in 2006.

Since then, he has been consulting consumer product based, technology & retail companies as well as leading Non-Profit organizations, specifically trade associations, helping them grow & improve not only their businesses but their operations. The Infrastructure’s primary focus is in accounting, finance & operations all with technology underlying those areas.

Mr. Mixon has been a problem solver all his life and he believes “Results Really Do Matter.”

Prior to founding ICO, Mr. Mixon was the CEO of Shorty’s Skateboards & Snowboards, a $20 million dollar Action Sports company. He ran all company operations including Sales, Marketing, Brand Management, Team Sponsorship, Operations, Finance and Accounting. He grew the company from $12m to $20m, going beyond its core skate niche and extending the brand into more mass-market channels including retailers Pacific Sunwear, Zumiez & Tilly’s.

Prior to Shorty’s, Mr. Mixon was Vice President of Finance and Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Global Brand Marketing, Inc., the holding and brand management company of global consumer product footwear brands Diesel Footwear, XOXO and Mecca Footwear. He joined the company in its infancy and guided it from $0 to over $140 million in annual sales after three years. At GBMI, Mr. Mixon did what he does best: brought core infrastructure of operations and finance to a rapidly growing company allowing it to achieve and execute its strategic objectives.

Prior to joining GBMI, Mr. Mixon, as Director of Operations, headed up the global day to day operations of a publicly traded Internet and computer software company, MetaCreations. At this company, Mr. Mixon brought the common-sense, big picture approach that he brings to everything he does. At MetaCreations, he was responsible for all manufacturing, distribution, customer service, technical support and international operations. He built the infrastructure for the company to grow from $16million to nearly $100million.

Mr. Mixon began his career at KPMG as an auditor and also worked in public accounting as a CPA in consulting and tax.

Mr. Mixon also mentors and coaches Business Owners and Executives on improving their Time Management, Organization, Delegation, Conducting Meetings and Making Decision skills.

Mr. Mixon is married and splits time between North Carolina and California. He loves playing and watching basketball and is an avid reader.
